About the Founder

Hi, I’m BJ Poznecki. My career in home building began at a young age, working summers alongside my Uncle George in his remodeling business. From the very beginning, he taught me an important lesson that has stayed with me throughout my career: take your time, do the job right the first time, and never sacrifice quality for speed.

I worked with Uncle George for many years until he eventually decided it was time to spend a little more time on the golf course—although, from what I hear, my Uncle Glenn is still taking his hard-earned money in skins 15 years later!

After George retired, I continued working with several remodeling companies, expanding my hands-on experience and sharpening my skills in virtually every area of home construction, renovation, and repair. That experience eventually led me into project management roles with both a real estate investment company and a nationwide home builder, where I walked thousands of homes and developed an even deeper understanding of quality construction and workmanship.

Following a major downsizing at the home builder I was working for, I decided it was time to take everything I had learned and start my own home inspection and consulting business. It was a natural fit. In addition to being a licensed home inspector, I bring years of real-world construction experience to every inspection. I’ve built, repaired, remodeled, managed, and evaluated homes firsthand, giving me a perspective that goes well beyond simply identifying what’s wrong.

Most importantly, I genuinely enjoy looking at homes and helping my clients understand what they’re buying. I approach every inspection as if my own mother were purchasing the home—a special thank you to my mom, Gloria, for all her love and support over the years.​
